The Rondout Valley Central School District vision is for our students will grow into critical thinkers and lifelong learners with integrity, confidence, and compassion. Our mission is to create an inclusive, welcoming educational community where all students can find their purpose and achieve their goals.
After the program’s successful debut last May, Rondout Valley brought back “Unity Days” for Grade 7 and Grade 9 students this fall. This social-emotional learning program is designed to help students develop empathy, understanding, and a connection to their peers, with the goal of reducing isolation and exclusion within the school community.
Rondout Valley students, teachers, and community members came together for a day of fun, learning, and team building activities at this year’s Fall Festival, which was held at the Rondout Valley Intermediate/Junior High School on October 16. Students from both the Intermediate School and the Junior High School were able to play games while meeting local business owners and organization volunteers, who shared information about the amazing careers and hobbies they have.
The Rondout Valley Central School District Board of Education is happy to welcome Nicole DeSousa to the District as the new School Business Official. She was appointed during a meeting on September 12 and officially assumed her position on October 10.
